so I get asked a lot 'what brushes do you use?' and I thought I may as well put this up. There's actually only one brush here, but to get the different angles all you have to do is adjust the angle of the brush; making the brush tip rounder will, obviously, round out all the strokes, but leaving it at around 60% roundness can still give a nice variation in size.

EDIT - I cannot for the life of me remember where I got this other brush so if anyone knows let me know and I'll replace this with a link, but for now—the splodgy brush is the one I use for the majority of my ' painterly' work, and it works especially well for smoke and clouds :)

EDIT - Added the basic square I use, just in case people want it.

It should be on the right side of the webpage. You'll see add to Favorites and under that is the download button. :-D

Consistently, time and time again, your splerdge brush stays at the top of my most used brush list. I really do think it has the perfect settings.

I really like the narrow brushes as they have a 'conte' feel to it. They are comfortable to sketch around with (especially the vertical brush). I like the square brush too because it is very versatile;its like a 2-in-1 brush because it handles curves and straight lines with ease and is great for painting. Drawing with these as we speak. Thanks for sharing.

I was curious, so I've decided to try your brushes.
they are really cool, and it's a good compromise for me, between two of mine. I have a normal calligraphic brush and a brush with pen pressure, but round.
Your calligraphic brush is just perfect for me because in traditionnal art, I love to play with markers with this style of... "brush" and this is what I was looking for. :)

Thanks a lot for sharing, It was really funny to play with.
