I get a lot of questions about this whenever I use it in a video or in a wip process example, so I thought I may as well go over it in a bit more depth. It feels like something simple, and is very easy to use once you get the hang of it, but I never know how confident people are in PS so it might be helpful. Shouldn't go around making assumptions.

I'm working in Photoshop CS3 here.
Keyboard shortcuts should translate fine, just substituting ctrl for ⌘.

its nice that you do this tutorial but i would dont work with masks...its to steril in my opinion...this computer stuffs kills the artistical crafts...funny that a digital painter say this :D but i use airbrush most time and about new layers i can do the same thing like this...of course you can do many many layers and stuff you paint on it you can erase easy...this style is to complicated

the PC equiv of the command key is the ctrl key, and the option key on macs is the alt key on pc.

my school lab uses all macs, so i've had to adjust.

I realise that normally, but in PS macs use the control key as well as command... I guess it probably is ctrl the same here as well though.

Very nice, reminds me though, you do your lineart in sketchbook though right? So theres relatively little cleanup involved correct?
