AMazing job, but i just lose the track when u talk about using the same brush XD... uhmm wich one ???, and i don't understan what do you mean when you say: "first pass rendering"??? could you explain me PLSSS,
the 'smeary' one I mention a step or two earlier. It comes from *leventep's brush set, I think. As to the rendering, I just mean, well, the first layer of painting form rather than just roughing it out. I don't get too worried about being quite so neat at this point, as I know I can and probably will go back and adjust it afterwards. (in what would be a second pass). That said, I didn't really go back and change much of her skin after that first step, so it is a little misleading...
There are two things I really love about work in progress shots- seeing the artist's painting technique, and seeing the artists decision making Often a lot more work will have gone into a piece than is outwardly apparent. Ideas which are tried and discarded, techniques which are developed and refined. Watching these little secrets reveal themselves is just as pleasing as witnessing the finished piece Thanks for sharing this gem with us!
Yeah I always end up preferring the feel of the original linework, but that little 'twist' of her hips that I so liked didn't transfer so well once it was painted up in a more realistic way. Which is a pity, still got a way to go to properly mesh my 'cartoony' sort of style with this sort of rendering.
