Ironberg Foundry by Mr--Jack Ironberg Foundry by Mr--Jack
If I'd gotten off my ass this would've been for the epic eow, but now it's just what it is; the ironberg foundry on Nyvan from Peter Hamilton's Night's Dawn trilogy. . . (I can't remember which book it's in, actually, though my guess would be the Neutronium Alchemist).
This place always sounded cool, so I'm glad I finally got around to getting it down.

2hrs, ish, photoshop.
Here's a gif of, well, not exactly my ' process' since I didn't work exactly in that order, but close enough...

THOSE BOOKS WERE THE MOST AMAZING SERIES I'VE EVER READ!!! I hope that's not as pathetic as it could be. I was so enthralled by it all. I fav'd this before I even read the info that it actually was from "Night's Dawn Trilogy"... and I'd slap 25 gold stars on it just for sake of the nostalgia that it evokes.

Great pic regardless by the way!

wow really nice! love the environment and the dusky theme! it actually reminds of the old containers near the end of the movie I, Robot where all the old robots were stored.

Looks really cool.. has an eerie ghostly -like feel to it =D
