Deenosawrs by Mr--Jack Deenosawrs by Mr--Jack
Something pretty usual for Day 11, at least subject matter wise!
Haven't done any this month yet though, so that's alright.
Nothing too specific species-wise, I should maybe try doing some more proper studies of various species, could be fun - haven't really tried any properly feathered raptors yet, either. HMMMM...

Anyway! Enjoy. Sorry for no processes; I was saving regularly for this one but then my computer crashed just before I was finished so *poof*! I need a better method, perhaps...

I wish my history/science textbooks had had illustrations like these. They're very fluid, and the poses are super dynamic.

Sooo... what do you think of the current theory that carnosaurs where also feathered?

I ask because you didn't draw it feathered. Even if it looks so cool. Some people say that feathered carnosurs look dumb.

I like the idea. They're like giant killer turkeys. Giant killer turkeys is something I always wanted to say.

This is really cool! Although something seems off with the T-Rex anatomically. I can't put my finger on it, but I'd suggest looking at thier skeletons and renderings of thme. I think yours may be a bit too chunky? The body appears squat..

It's not supposed to be a t-rex 100%, it's just a generic carnosaur - and either way, I was going for a bit of a stylised look - the head is far too big proportionally and the whole thing is quite stocky comparatively.

I always enjoy your dinosaurs, it would be great to have another one of your recorded video processes like your one you did for the magazine :) I found it much more enjoyable to watch and see each stroke.

Please make processes, i simply love to learn from them.

For a better way to do it, a suggestion:

Gadwin PrintScreen 4.5
Bind printscreen to CTRL+S it'll save screen captures, fulls screen, or part of it.
Images can be saved jpg, png, without any screen promps, no messages or anything

Would've been interesting to see one of those tiny little dinosaurs somewhere, then you'd have dinosaurs of all sizes. Good nonetheless :)

That, sir, has got to be the finest rex I've ever seen!
They need to hire you for the next Jurassic park movie, of course knowing you all the dinosaurs would be breathing fire at one another. Which would honestly be perfectly ok with me ^.^

Are you using photoshop? You can use the animation window to keep track of your process by adding frames for every new layer, that way you don't have to save many iterations of the same file.

My process is sort of similar, I have my history set up to save a state every time I save so at the end of a work session I can go back and screencap it all - works better because it captures work more chronologically, my layers don't really tend to show the process as well.
(And i can do that later anyway if I just use the layers)

Oh, I have to try that! It seems a very streamlined way to do it. The one nice thing about the animation tab though is you can render your ani as a gif directly from photoshop, and then you don't have to screencap!

Well I do end up importing the screencaps back into photoshop to do that, I just find screencapping an easier way of getting the full image at a reasonable screen size than having to flatten and copy / resize at every history state :D
