Artist's Comments

Finally getting back into it, more air units now.
Awesome new unit in SC2, I guess the 'replacement' for the Scourge in that it's dedicated relatively low-tier AtA, but not incredibly similar aside from that. They look damn cool in action, too.

about 4 hours or so, usual method; lines in Sketchbook Pro, PS CS3 for colours.

I gotta say, the Corruptor looks nice, but I'm not too keen on its ability to make the enemy STATIONARY air turrets. Exactly what keeps them hovering and why does this prevent you from moving them?

Still, y'gotta love reverse squids. This kinda reminds of a triceratops.

Snnnrk.

i wish blizzard would update the main page with info on more units. seeing them from you but without official releases is saddening to me on their part. :(

I love the design, but not familiar with this unit. Does it have some sort of internal core? (the awesome orange glow)

You have very good handle of lighting - in this case, I like how you managed to incorporate glow into a fully lit model, an idea that I keep struggling with seemingly forever.

Perhaps you could do a lighting tutorial, how to handle contrasts etc to display different material properties and effects (not a PS one, but more on general colour / value handling)? :) Though I know you are extremely busy, so it is unlikely you would be able to, but it would be very nice.

This is a great drawing, though. Good job!
