I'm always one for understatement, there.
I probably should've done this a little more simultaneously with the announcement over at SC-Source.com, but anyways, here we have it:

I'm now (and have been for almost a week now) living in sunny Irvine, California, and am working as a concept artist at Blizzard Entertainment, on the team producing Starcraft 2.

I don't think any exclamations from me right now can quite capture the mixture of feelings that're flying around at the moment, so I'll leave it with a simple HOLY CRAP!
I interviewed here in June, and it's taken since then to get around to getting the visa and everything organised, but it's finally happened!
And I still can't quite believe it.


Not having ever lived out of home before, moving across the other side of the world into an apartment on my own is definitely more of a shock to the system than the job though, I'll have to admit, and I think it's going to take quite a bit more time to get generally settled in to life here than it is to just get settled into work.
(If I'm really going to admit it I'm rather fucking terrified, at least some of the time, but . . . I'll get there. Character building and all that good stuff.)

SO! I'm still in the arduous process of getting my stuff through customs, unfortunately, so that's a little annoying, but once I'm set up I'm still hoping to be active on here
